Europe: Energy crisis dims Christmas light!

Christmas is just few day away. Preparations are ramping up across the globe. Russia-Ukraine war might have caused energy crunch. However, It is not dimming the holiday joy. Various parts of Europe are trying to keep the festive season on. Alongside measures of saving energy.

In Spain, they might have been a controversy on Christmas lights. as Vigo city council lit up and installation made up of eleven million LED light. The government defends it by using power saving lights and plans on turning off the light display by one hour.

In different parts of Europe Christmas markets are a crowd driver. Especially after the two-year break due to the pandemic. They have become spots for the people to enjoy, While they cut down on costs back at home.

Vienna has begun its traditional Unitard Market. Copenhagen opens its gates to the Tivoli gardens amusement park.

In Paris, Christmas lights on the Champs-Elysees were inaugurated. However, city officials announced the cut down off the duration of lights by one week. The streets of Paris saw dim lights as the government aims for a ten percent reduction in the country's energy. 

The White House called on to early Christmas decoration with arrival of the Christmas tree. First lady Jill Biden received it outside the residence.
