Prince Harry Delivers Christmas Message Dressed As Spider-Man

Prince Harry has dressed up as Spiderman during a Christmas message to children whose parents have died while serving in war. The Duke of Sussex's message was played at an annual charity event designed to support those who've lost a loved one in the British Armed Forces. His video played at the organization's Christmas party, which was heroes and villains themed, hence the Harry Spiderman costume. At the fun filled party, the children were told they needed to defeat the villains who had stolen Father Christmas presents, and Harry gave the kids some encouragement.

Harry also shared some heartfelt advice for the kids regarding the feelings that come when you navigate the holiday season as someone who's lost a parent.

Nikki Scott, the founder of Scotty's Little soldiers, said in a news release. It's incredible for everyone at Scotties to have Prince Harry's continued support. He knows what it's like to grow up without a parent and understands that there are certain times of the year that can be particularly challenging. Christmas is one of those times. We love the fact that Prince Harry not only recorded such a special message but also dressed up as Spiderman. He actually knows what it's like to grow up without a parent. Harry was 12 years old when his mother, Princess Diana, died on Remembrance Sunday last month, a day in the UK for remembering members of the armed forces who have died. In the line of duty, Harry wrote a letter to the children of Scotty's Little soldiers that addressed their losses and he read it in part. We share a bond, even without ever meeting one another, because we share in having lost a parent. I know first hand the pain and grief that comes with loss. I want you to know that you are not alone, while difficult feelings will come up today as we pay tribute to heroes like your mom or dad. I hope you can find comfort and strength in knowing that their love for you lives and shines on. Whenever you need a reminder of this, I encourage you to lean into your friends as Scotty's little soldiers. One of the ways I've learned to cope has been through community and talking about my grief, and I couldn't be more grateful and relieved that you have amazing people walking beside you throughout your journey. We all know some days are harder than others, but together those days are made easier.
